Howard Phillips LOVECRAFT
Howard Phillips Lovecraft was a horror writer who is best known for his stories about the Cthulhu Mythos. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1890. His father was a lawyer and his mother was a descendant of the Mayflower. Lovecraft had a difficult childhood and was often sick. He was also bullied by other children.
Lovecraft began writing at a young age. He published his first story in 1917. He continued to write throughout his life, but he never achieved financial success. He died in 1937 at the age of 46.
Lovecraft's stories are often dark and disturbing. They are full of strange creatures and otherworldly places. His most famous story is "The Call of Cthulhu." This story tells the tale of a group of people who are drawn to a mysterious island in the Pacific Ocean. On the island, they find a temple dedicated to Cthulhu, a giant, octopus-like creature.
